Emily Duval Ledger, C.P.T.

Owner, Lead Instructor. Emily is an independently Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). As a sedentary kid who was finally inspired to get in shape in her adult life, Emily knows firsthand that it is never too late to try something new, and is dedicated to helping her clients surprise themselves with that they can accomplish. She specializes in weight loss, nutritional counseling, pre-natal fitness, injury rehab, and sports performance for clients of all ages and fitness levels. Personally, she has become an avid lover of running, biking, hiking, yoga and surfing, and can't wait to hike the Grand Canyon again in the next few years.

Tamara Kunkle, C.P.T.

Instructor. Tamara is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Through her own struggles with weight management and self-image, she realized that many others share similar personal challenges. Tamara understands that a healthy mind comes from an active body and the healthy fuel that feeds it. She is inspired by people who make the decision to change their lives and gain control, and loves to help them succeed, which is what led her to pursue a career in fitness. She enjoys conquering new physical challenges such as sprint triathlons and summating Mt. Whitney, and loves being a part of the South Bay Fit Camp instruction team, especially since she once was a class participant.

Wendy Hormann, C.P.T.

Instructor. Wendy is a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), a Level 1 instructor for CrossFit, an AYSO Coach for ages 5-12 and is now a kinesiology major at CSU Fullerton. She grew up playing soccer and enjoyed the competition (and trying to keep up with the neighborhood boys), and to this day loves a challenge, setting and accomplishing goals. For years she sat in front of a computer all day, and couldn't wait to get out of the office to do the things she really loves - running, snowboarding, fishing, CrossFit/ weightlifting, soccer, swimming, bike riding, hiking, tubing, etc. - and is thrilled to finally have a job where she can inspire others to do the things that give them joy in order to achieve their goals. Her own fitness has been anything but effortless, and she loves watching her clients exceed their expectations of themselves.

Cheyana Van Dender, C.P.T., C.N.C.

Nutritionalist. Cheyana is a graduate of The Global College of Natural Medicine (GCNM) and a Certified Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise (ACE). Cheyana knew that she wanted to work in the health and wellness field when in college she designed an after-school program called "Beauty From The Inside Out," which taught the beauty benefits of healthy eating and exercise to troubled teens in group homes. Once she saw these teenagers change their perceptions about health and wellness, she realized that anyone could if they truly wanted to. After her daughter was born, Cheyana decided to follow her dreams and launched a nutrition consulting company called Nutrition Roots. She has been helping South Bay Fit Camp clients transform their eating habits with whole food nutrition for over two years and we couldn't be happier with the results!
